The village of Dolno Shivachevo is located in North-Central Bulgaria. It is part of Zlataritsa Municipality, Veliko Tarnovo District. Zlataritsa municipality is in the eastern part of Veliko Turnovo Region in the Northern-Balkan Valley. It is bordered by the municipalities of Elena, Veliko Turnovo, Lyaskovets, Strazhitsa and Antonovo. It includes 1 town – the administrative center Zlataritsa, and 23 villages - Village of Cheshma, Village of Chistovo, Village of Chukata, Village of Dalgi pripek, Village of Dedina, Village of Dedintsi, Village of Delova mahala, Village of Dolno Shivachevo, Village of Durovtsi, Village of Gorna Hadjiyska, Village of Gorsko novo selo, Village of Gorsko Pisarevo, Village of Kalaydjii, Village of Novogortsi, Village of Ovoshtna, Village of Ravnovo, Village of Razsoha, Village of Rekichka, Village of Rezach, Village of Rodina, Village of Rosno, Village of Slivovitsa, Village of Sredno selo.
The climate is typical for the temperate continental climate zone. The total area of the municipality Zlataritza is 232,675 decares, of which 118,949 – rural and 103,341 – wooded.
